All About Me

Like many people out there, I have always dreamed of being an author.  However for many years, the dream just didn't seem to come to fruition. I could argue that it was down to leading a busy life, or not having the opportunities to make my dream come true, however that would not be completely true.

As a mum of two gorgeous boys, married to my childhood sweetheart, holding down a full time job, my life is pretty busy. However, if I am honest, the main reason my dream has not happened before now is the lack of confidence I had in myself.

For years, I have told myself that I wasn't  good enough to publish, that the dream of being an author was just a pipe

dream. Instead I threw myself into my job in education and making a happy home for my husband and boys.  Spending my free time volunteering or with my nose stuck in a book.  However, the dream still lingered tempting me to pursue.

During the global lockdown last year, like many I found myself with plenty of free time on my hands and before I knew it my creativity was flowing. With the patience and support of my family and friends, my debut novel was soon drafted and with their support I finally saw my dream becoming more of a reality.  Finally plucking up the courage to publish my novel for fellow romance readers to enjoy.

One thing, this has taught me, and the best advice I could give to other budding authors out there.  Follow your dreams, believe in yourself and don't give up!
